Today Mark Dave and I (John) headed out in the rain / wind / sun (delete as appropriate) for a few hours on the bikes. We headed round the Chemo classic route until Redmire before heading back to Richmond, a very welcome café stop was taken in Aysgarth.
Cheers to Dave and Mark for putting up with my poor form, two weeks off the bike had taken a bit of a toll on my climbing legs and several times they had to wait for me when by rights they shouldn't have bothered. When cleaning the bike I discovered a crack in my left crank arm so it's probably a good job I couldn't put too much force through the pedals.
I ended up with a shade under 90 miles on the clock with 6500ft climbing

So is your powder still dry enough for tomorrow? Mark is obviously interested in a little detour up Carlton Bank. Maniac.
Sorry Dave I didn't dare chance it with the cracked crank arm on my Boardman although I have to say that my legs wern't complaining this morning when I decided to give the ride a miss!
I do have another 100km ride planned tomorrow afternoon on my summer bike if you're at a loose end.
